Dear families,
Happy Halloween!!

Halloween season is upon us! Out come the costumes, candy, and decorations. However, this year's Halloween will be a little different... Many Halloween activities are high-risk for spreading COVID-19, such as trick-or-treating or other annual Halloween festivities, but there are many other ways that we can celebrate the spirit of Halloween this year! The CDC recommends participating in lower-risk activities that involve few people and don't involve large gatherings. Some ideas include:
Carving and decorating pumpkins with your family
Decorating your house and yard with Halloween decorations
Halloween decoration scavenger hunt
Halloween movie night with family
Virtual Halloween costume contest
If trick-or-treating is an annual tradition for your family, another idea is putting goodie bags with candy and little presents outside your house for other people to take. Picking out pumpkins is also a good idea, but make sure that you are wearing masks, staying a safe distance apart, and washing your hands immediately after. For more information on staying safe while participating in fun Halloween activities like trick-or-treating, watch the video below from UC Davis Health for more tips! We hope that everyone will be able to enjoy a fun and exciting Halloween in these uncertain circumstances! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiW2LurRKxQ&feature=emb_title Sincerely,
